The village is located in a beautiful natural environment, surrounded by forests, in a hilly area. Thanks to its excellent agricultural land, it has been an archbishop’s property since the 13th century. The former marshy area was used by the boars as a shelter and nesting ground, hence the name of the village. Today, the marshy parts are drained and farmed by local people. Two churches tower over the well-kept houses of this peaceful village.
